RIGGING GEAR SALES, INC. was founded in 1988 by Bruce and Bonnie Forster. Hydraulic

Gantries were

still a relatively new concept and were not widely used in the industry. RGS's

initial territory was Illinois

and Wisconsin. Today, RGS services much of the US and International

marketplace.

IN 1990, RGS recognized a need for rental equipment to promote the use of hydraulic gantries

when we

purchased our first rental machine, a Model 4160, 160 ton capacity telescopic hydraulic

gantry. The

rental concept was an instant hit, offering customers the opportunity to use

hydraulic gantries, without

the capital expenditure of owning such equipment. Further, the

rental concept allowed customers to

"try out" equipment before purchasing, enabling them to

be sure which model would best suit their

company's needs.

This principle holds true even to this day, but RGS has been able to adapt to market demands in

many

other ways too:

Offering an extensive line of hydraulic gantries ranging from 20 to over 1000 tons capacity
with lift heights exceeding 40'.
A complete line of gantry accessories including runway track, lifting beams, track stands,
rolling gantry risers, side shift systems, and hydraulically powered rotators.
A wide range of mobile pick-and-carry machines with capacities up 75 tons.
A line of machinery moving dollies designed for ease of use and maximum floor protection.
The POWERBAR for use with dollies to move the largest of loads with the greatest of ease.
